Personal consultations entail more than the face-to-face time with a client. Professional astrologers often spend one to two hours on each chart before the client event meets with them. This enables the astrologer to have a deeper understanding of the charts before the appointment begins. Thus, between the pre-consultation discussion and the review of the charts, the astrologer generally has a strong base and frame of reference from which to begin once the appointment time arrives.
By devoting time prior to the consultation, the astrologer is able to have an open dialogue with the client which is tremendously more productive and insightful for the client. The appointment can then focus on experiences, patterns, struggles, strengths, opportunities and growth as well as offering greater perspective, insight and suggestions for the client to take home.
