Ever wonder how you get trapped in certain circumstances? What influences or factors brought you there, placed you in that position? What external person or thing can you blame? Often we find ourselves in situations that are uncomfortable or hurt and we look to who or what caused it.
Instead we need to look at ourselves, inside, deep inside sometimes. We manifest our reality and often we created the circumstance that is causing us pain. It could have been a lesson put before us to help us learn or grow. It may be helpful to take a step back before looking outside for the cause. Take a moment and ask that the higher purpose be revealed, the higher lesson. Instead of blame, look for truth. Blame breeds hatred or resentment that we often carry around for years. Why not use your energy for positive creation instead of tearing yourself apart?
EXERCISE:
If you are holding on to any resentment, look for the lesson in what happened. Did you learn to stand on your own, develop and inner strength? Did you learn more compassion? If you are going through a rough time, take some quiet time and stop the grumblings in your mind. Ask and listen. Search for the truth.
MEDITATION:
Think of some of the difficulties in the past you have gone through and now realize the good that has come from it. Feel the gratitude and joy for the gifts you received from the experience. Thank God and those that endured the situation with you, whether friend or foe. They were all part of the plan to help you learn the lesson(s).
