Guarding the privacy of the information that you provide when using AscendingLight is very important to us.  Please take time to read and understand how we treat the personal information that you give to us. 

• We disclose our privacy policies and procedures in this document.
• We do not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone without your prior permission or unless directed by a court of law.
• The information you provide is used solely by AscendingLight.
•  We hold an opt-in policy that gives our visitors maximum control over how much information they receive from us.

Your Personal Information

When you place an order, we need to know your name, billing & shipping address, e-mail address, and credit card information.  This allows us to fill your order and notify you of its status.

When you sign up for our newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address to send you the information you requested.  Your email is never distributed outside Ascendinglight.   

If you elect to be notified of updates from this site, we use your name and email to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the web site, new services or products, general information or special offers we think you may find valuable.  You may remove your name at any time by notifying us at remove@ascendinglight.com.  For assured accuracy, please e-mail us from the e-mail address you used to subscribe or notate that information in the e-mail.

Automatic Information

Using site reporting tools, we collect general information each time you visit our site.  This information tells us the type of browser you used, what site you came from, your operating system and platform, and the day and time you visited.  We use this information to help design our site to fit the needs of those interested in our site.  We do not collect your 'computer name' and thus cannot track the information back to you.

E-mail Communications

We do not send you unsolicited e-mails.  You may sign up to receive updates about this site and specials on products or services.  To subscribe or unsubscribe to these updates, please see Site Updates.

Specials & Promotions

Promotional offers are only sent to those who have expressed an interest a particular product or service and notify us of their desire to receive such information.  Those who do not sign up for automatic notification can view any specials or promotions by visiting our web site.  To receive automatic e-mails regarding sales on AscendingLight, please subscribe to our site updates.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your information to third-parties.  Your information is only available to certain AscendingLight employees for the fulfillment of your order or request.

Please note:  Courses offered by Peter and Helen Evans requires that AscendingLight forward the name and e-mail address you provide.  This information is required for the purposes of sending you the lessons and enabling communication between you and the teacher(s).  This holds true for Healing services as well that are not performed by an employee of this company.

AscendingLight will disclose information to a court of law, if required to do so.

Cookies

We do not use cookies to collect personal information.  Our shopping cart system will place a cookie on your system for any items left in your shopping basket.  This cookie lasts 10 days. 

Security

The security of your information is important to us and we work to protect it during transmissions.  We use 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) during submittal and transmission of your data.  All your ordering information -- including your name, address, and credit card number -- is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security.  This information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system.  Furthermore, once we receive your order information, we store it on a system that is not accessible from the Internet.  If you feel more comfortable ordering via phone or fax, we are happy to take your order personally (see Contact Us for phone and fax numbers).  All credit card transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution, which receives the credit card number to verify funds and process transactions. 

If you are using a shared computer, be sure to sign off or clear any temporary internet files after transmitting an order.

When you click on links and/or ad banners that take you to third-party web sites, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy and use policies.
